The model: Curt purchased the boat from Pete in 2022 as the Stroh Light and repainted it to represent the 1989 Boss Marine U-9 sponsored by Rain-X and driven by Brian Keogh. The real boat: Built as the "STROH LIGHT" in 1988 by Jon Staudacher, this boat was powered by twin Ford 585 V-8s. The team boasted horsepower equal to or better than it's turbine competitors and a hull weight of 4,000 pounds- about 2,000 pounds less than the turbines.
