The model:  Mitch finished this boat in 2023 and drove it to the season championship. In 2024 he has been running it as his primary boat along with his 54 Slo-Mo-Shun V. He always wanted to build them both and see them on the water together. A few back up drivers have helped him make that happen.

The real boat: This is the final version of the Grand Old Lady. The Slo-Mo team added the non-trip bustle to the right rear of the boat to help the cornering. The boat was a contender in its 6th year of racing, but was destroyed in a Detroit River crash. Owner Stan Sayres passed away shortly after the wrecked boat was brought back to Seattle. It marked the end of the Slo-Mo era. However, the boat was eventually restored to running condition by the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum after having spent many years on display at Seattle's Museum of History & Industry.
