Welcome to Classic Thunder

The first 1/10th Scale Electric Unlimited Hydroplane club in the world!

As pioneers of a growing 1:10 Scale electric hydro class, our goal is to continue to duplicate real unlimited hydroplane racing as closely as we can. Since our inception in 1993, we have not only tried to recreate the boats of several eras, but to encourage a spirit of fun, respectful competition and comradery within our membership. Let's get ready for the 2025 Season!

Get a 2025 Classic Thunder membership for $50, which includes all boat registration fees and race entry fees for the year! You can send payment via PayPal to cthydros@gmail.com.

If you don't have a PayPal account, you can request a PayPal invoice be sent to you, which can be paid using credit card, by other PayPal options, in cash at CT gatherings or by mail.

CT members should then:

Contact our Secretary/Treasurer/Registrar with any questions about 2025 boat registration requests or changes. Please be prepared to provide the year and name of each boat you intend to register.

Review The 2025 CT Rule Book! As a CT member, you are expected to understand and abide by these rules. The rule book will also have all of the boat specifications for each class. Please use it as your first reference for all requirements. You can also reach out to a CT contact for help.

Make sure you've renewed your required NAMBA membership.

Get your boats documented and teched as needed. Get out to as many events as possible and join us for some fun on the water!
