’83 Atlas:  We saw this boat hit the water in 2004.  It has shown promise.  Brent bought the boat from Dale for 2008 and has it running well.

The 1983 Atlas was originally built in 1982 to replace the blue blaster it was designed by Jim Lucero and was the first hull to have a canard wing.  For 1983 the the boat was reconfigured to incorporate another first, the saftey cockpit.  They seat belted Chip Hanuaer down into a much stronger reinforced cockpit.  In 83 the boat repeated as both Gold Cup Champion and National Champion.  At the end of the season the Atlas team sold the hull and went to a new turbine powered hull for 84.  I will send you a photo of the boat soon.
