The model:  This boat was originally built by Pete using plastic canoes pulled by Jeff Howard.  Pete never raced it that way as he thought they would be too fragile.  In 2009, he decided to pull it off the shelf and replace the canoes with new ones he scratch built himself.  He got the boat done and debuted it at the last race of 2009.  He plans to run it as his primary boat for Division 2 in 2010.  It's fast and handles well too.  Look for it in 2010 as a front-runner.

The real boat:  This boat was repaired after the near fatal crash in 1997 in the Tri-Cities with driver Dave Villwock.  Villwock lost a couple of his fingers as a result of the accident, but returned the next year to a newer, safer "egg shaped" canopy that most of the present boats have now gone to.  The team replaced the previously used F-16 type canopy.
