This model was built originally for Dan Clark, who sold it to Dale Schroeder, who had it refurbished and repainted by Mark Beatty.  The boat has always been fast, but had some really bad luck.  Schroeder finally gave in to the demons and put her up for sale.  Gene Melang is its owner now and the boat looked good as his second Division 2 boat.  The boat ran strongly and consistently, being driven for Gene by John Flood, in the first 2009 race.

About the real boat: Sponsored Budweiser, the Bernie Little boat won 4 National Championships.  Low picklefork design and Ron Snyder’s driving were hard to beat.  One of those boats that you either loved or hated.  Mickey Remund drove it to a dominating season championship in 1977.
