The model:  John first ran this model in CT in 2014 for division 2.  He purchased the hull from West Coast Custom Boats and finished it himself. The boat has improved over the last few years and was recently sold to David for 2019. David has the boat running fast and is working on getting consistent heat finishes with it.

The real boat:  The boat was designed by Jim Lucero and is almost identical to the Atlas Van Lines boat Lucero built, then modified in 1983 with a safer cockpit area.  The boat was fast and held it's own in the early turbine era with Scott Pierce as the driver.  The boat later became the first Mr Pringles and was eventually converted to turbine power.
