The model: This boat was bought for 2011 from Ron Forister.  Dave debuted the boat at the Freedom Cup and performed well for never having run the boat before.  He immediately started making plans to modify the sponsons more to his liking to help the boat's performance.  The boat is light and lively and sponson changes should tame the boat ride down a bit.  The boat looks good on the water and it's good to see it back out there under new ownership.

The real boat: This boat started life as an innovative T-4 Budweiser that was purchased by Bill Wurster's U-8 team.  It was rebuilt and was fast right out of the box in 2003 when it debuted in the Tri-Cities.  Surprisingly enough, Mark Evans stunned the odds-makers by winning the Columbia Cup in fine fashion, besting the likes of Dave Villwock in Miss Budweiser, Nate Brown in the Elam Plus and the very fast piston powered Vacationville.com driven by his brother Mitch Evans.  In later years the boat would undergo a few more modifications and ended life as Schumacher Racing's Miss Peters & May in 2010 when it was basically destroyed when it struck a retaining wall in Detroit at high speed injuring driver J.W. Meyers.
