The model:  Steve just keeps pumping them out and showed up with this boat for the final race of 2007.  It was a bit unstable out of the box, but it's' got real potential.  Steve actually started building the boat a while ago, but finally decided to go ahead and finish it.  It looks like a good decision on his part.  Hopefully he brings it out for 2008.

The real boat:  This was one of two cabover pickle-forked boats that attempted to run using twin automotive power in the early 70's.  Neither one succeeded and eventually this one was converted to Rolls Merlin power and was redesigned to seat the driver behind the engine.  It went on to be a very successful Pay'n Pak boat and was later successful as a Miss Budweiser too.
