The model:  Bill had sold this boat back in 2009 to Brent Hall and reacquired it for the 2011 season.  This is the oldest boat in the Division 2 fleet, but still has plenty of life left in it.  It's still a solid performer with good speed and agility.

The real boat:  This ultra-light hull was launched in 1980.  It was reported as being less than 6000 lbs. Driver John Walters blew the boat over in a test run at the ’80 Columbia Cup.  The boat later raced as the backup Tosti Asti.  Mike Hanson later installed a canopy on the boat and raced it as the Sutphen Spirit in ’87 and ’88.  The hull suffered a blowover accident and has not been raced since.
