The model:  This boat was one of two new boats Mitch built for himself for 2010.  He finished and tested the boats three days before the first race.  As luck would have it, the Pringles hit the water flying right out of the box and took home first place in it's debut.  We'll see what the future has for this pretty boat.

The real boat:  The '88 Pringles was patterned after the Miss Budweiser T-2 with slight modifications to the bottom.  The boat, driven by Scott Pierce, was best remembered for it's mishaps rather than its successes. In its very first race in '88 it was involved in an accident when it ran over the cockpit of the Budweiser which had spun out in front of it.  The incident left Bud driver Jim Kropfeld with a broken neck.  Scott Pierce blew this boat over three times in five 1989 races.  The boat and driver combination was fast, but a bit unpredictable.  George Woods would take over the cockpit in 1990 and drove the boat as the Tide to a popular victory in Seattle a couple of years later.
