This fast boat was originally built for Bob VandenAkker by Craig Mullen and painted by Pete Schille.  The boat was sold to Dave Sacry and will be driven by a combination of Dave and son Danny.   The boat has been outfitted with brushess gear for 2005 and is plenty fast.

About the real boat: The 1976 OLYMPIA BEER (U-74) was a 1974 Ron Jones, Sr., hull. Ron built her during the winter of 1973-74 at the same time that he constructed MISS U.S., LINCOLN THRIFT, and COUNTRY BOY/MISS BUDWEISER at his Costa Mesa, CA, boat shop. Original owner Leslie Rosenberg raced it for three years--as VALU-MART in 1974, as WEISFIELD'S in 1975 and as OLYMPIA BEER in 1976. After Rosenberg retired from racing, the boat was sold to Bernie Little who raced it as ANHEUSER BUSCH
NATURAL LIGHT in 1977. It became the original MISS CIRCUS CIRCUS (for one race) in 1978 and GILMORE SPECIAL in 1982. (From:
