Boat Statistics
The model: Curt got this boat from a friend and decided to refurbish it and try it as a race boat. He is still working on getting the right setup in it, but it is showin improvement. It is possible he may be selling it, but we'll see what happens in 2020. The real boat: This revolutionary 2-wing designed boat was built by the Budweiser team as a second boat for 1995. It was tested many time and even qualified as a second boat, but was never chosen by the team on race day. The boat finally got its chance when the primary boat was damaged in 1995. Mark Evans qualified and raced the boat as a replacement driver for Chip Hanauer. The boat performed well, until the final heat when Evans hooked the boat and was later DQ'd for running into another boat while trying to get back on plane. The boat was sold years later, modified to a more traditional design and raced as the Llumar Window Film. Mark Evans actually drove the boat to a win in the Tri-Cities in 2003.
