The model:  Robbie's son, Robert Roberts Jr, had West Coast Custom Boats make a mold from his original wood boat. This hull is what he got back. Robbie brought the boat out in 2019 for a few races. it's a very pretty boat on the water and we hope to see more of it in 2020.

The real boat:  This is one of two boats that owner, Fred Leland, fielded with Znetix, Inc. as a sponsor in 2000. This one was driven by Greg Hopp, while the Znetix II was piloted by Terry Troxell. Leland was never paid by the sponsor's owner. Znetix, Inc was later found to be a front company for a stocks fraud scam, one of the largest in Washington State history. The company's owner was found guilt and sentenced to 20 years in prison.
