The model: This was a new boat for 2017 and became season champion in 2019. The boat has real mahogany decking and nice scale detail too. The boat perhaps the shortest boat in the club and one of Mitch's favorites.

The real boat: This was the first hull sponsored by Ole Bardahl which was the former Tempest hull from the previous year, 1956.  A smaller hull at 27'4'' she was built by Norm Christiansen of Seattle and was powered by an Allison V-1710-113 engine.  Under driver Norm Evans the Bardahl scored its first heat victory in Heat 1 A of the Sahara Cup on Lake Mead. After 1957, the U-4 became the legendary Miss Burien.  In 1959, the Burien sank in 110 feet of water during the 59 Diamond Cup on Lake Coeur d'Alene.
