A smaller hull at 27'4'' she was built by Norm Christiansen of Seattle and was powered by an Allison V-1710-113 engine. Under driver Norm Evans the Bardahl scored its first heat victory in Heat 1 A of the Sahara Cup on Lake Mead. After 1957, the U-4 became the legendary Miss Burien. In 1959, the Burien sank in 110 feet of water during the 59 Diamond Cup on Lake Coeur d'Alene.
