This boat was originally the second 66 Bardahl built by Pete Schille.  Mike Krone had raced it for a while and sold it to Jim in 2023. Jim joined CT in 2023 and scored points driving it in two races. Jim looks to start the 2024 season with a brand new division 1 boat. He's getting some good wheel time and navigating the learning curve as driver and crew chief. We hope to see him racing boats with us a long time.

The real boat:  The boat debuted in 1966 with promise, but had gearbox issues in its first race.  In it's second race, it was destroyed in Washington DC on the day that is often referred to as "Black Sunday", when driver Ron Musson became the first of three drivers to die on the Potomac River.
