The model:  This is a new boat for 2009 that Bryan built.  Bryan is getting a reputation for unmatched woodwork on his real mahogany decks.  He took this one to a completely new level.  There are actually inlayed strips of lighter material between the stips of mahogany to create the striped look that the real boat had.  Wow, it's a beauty!

The real boat: This boat was a favorate at the beginning of the 67 season.  The boat suffered damage in a rollover accident early in the season.  It was determined that the deck was too heavy and was replaced with a lighter plywood deck that was painted gold.  Soon after that driver Bill Brow would suffer fatal injuries when the throttle stuck, causing the boat to run out of control, eventually become airborne and flip.
