The model:  This model was originally built and raced by Pete Schille in 2001.  Brent Hall bought it from a friend of his who had purchased it from Pete in 2008.  Dan bought the boat from Brent at the Harmsworth race, refurbished it and sold it to Dave Sacry during the 2009 season. The boat is light and quick, but has had a tendency to get flighty.  Dave has made a few changes to the boat and will run it in 2010.

The real boat:  The boat was driven by Fred Alter and campained under a few different with him as driver.  The boat started life as a the '65 Gale's Roostertail, a long round-nosed boat.  They cut the front end to make it a pickle fork when it became the Schweppes in 1969.  It later raced as the Towne Club.
