The model:  Mike played Jr Hockey for Smyth from ages 10 to 13 as a left wing and defensman. They won the Seattle Jr Championship in 1958. He stumble upon this boat when looking for one to register, so it was the perfect fit. He purchased an ML Boatworks kit and built it himself. It turned out really nice and runs well too. Debuting at the 2021 Atomic Cup, Mike is consistently becoming more comfortable driving. He earned CT Rookie of the Year honors as a result.

The real boat: The former Notre Dame and Burien Lady raced as the Smoother Mover from 1970-72 and later became Ms Greenfield's Galleries, Oh Boy Oberto and last raced in 1980 as Evergreen Roofing.
