The model:  The 60 Spokane is a carbon fiber hull built by Jeff Campbell and run as the Shanty 1 in ERCU.  Boat was purchased from Kirk Pagel and heavily modified by Mark Beatty and Dan.  Mark painted the hull this past fall and Dan added a detailed dummy motor and cockpit.  The boat has some porposing issues and is being dialed in.

The real boat:  This boat has the last of three different paint schemes used by the community of Spokane for the "lilac lady" (the 58 and 59 boats had mahogany decks).   Rookie Rex Manchester drove the under funded boat in 1960 with varing success.  The Gold Cup that year was perhaps the Spokane's greatest race.
