The model:  Mike got this boat brand new from builder Steve Dumanis for the 2010 season.  It looks to be a good, solid boat with plenty of performance right out of the box.  Mike's will team this boat up with his Chrysler Crew and be well represented in division 1.

The real boat:  This Staudacher-built boat entered the racing scene in 1952. The boat was owned by Jack Schafer and raced out of the Detroit Yacht Club.  The boat exploded and burned during the 1952 Gold Cup, injuring driver Bill Cantrell. The boat was sold in 1959 to George Zigas of Detroit and eventually raced as the Thunderbolt.
