The model:  Bryan finished this model in 2012 and debuted it at the CT Silver Cup in Lacey.  This is one of the nicely detailed models out there. The mahogany work is outstanding and the boat looks great on the water.  It performs nicely too.  We hope to see this one around for a long time.

The real boat:  This boat was certainly overshadowed by her teammate boat, the famous Miss Thriftway driven by the legendary Bill Muncey.  The Too was unique in that it was one of the first post WWII unlimiteds to seat the driver ahead of the engine.  She was also one of the largest unlimiteds in history and was appropriately nicknamed "The Prune Barge".  She was intended to run on two Allison engines, but never ran with more than one.  This may have limited her potential.  Even so, she showed some speed and managed to outrun some of her more famous and faster competition in some heats.  Brien Wygle piloted the boat in her best performances in 57, even outrunning Hawaii Kai III in the final heat of the Sahara Cup on Lake Mead.  The Kai won the overall race on cumulative points, but the Too did not go unnoticed.
