The model: Steve Dumanis built this model in almost total secrecy and unexpectedly debuted it at the 2007 Governors Cup.  The boat looks promising and had a good maiden voyage performance.  It's a nice addition to the growing Division 1 fleet.  He sold the boat to "Battery" Dave Sacry for the 2009 season.

The real boat:  Debuted in 1957 with mahogany decks and was later painted white to match the paint scheme of it's more famous sister ship, the Miss Thriftway.  At one point, the Thriftway Too was piloted by veteran driver Russ Schleeh.  The boat was 34 feet long and was originally designed by Ted Jones to hold two engines, though it only ever ran with one Rolls Merlin.
