The model: This to date is the lightest boat Mark has built. It has proven to be very fast
but he is still experimenting with different props to try and find the right
ride.
The real boat: The real boat started out in 67 as another in a long line of Miss US hulls. In 72
Jim McCormick campaigned this hull and the U-8 hull as the Miss Timex 1 and 2.
The U-44 hull was driven by Jim himself.
