The model:  Clint built this boat for the 2011 season with the finish work being done by his friend Mark Beatty.  As you can see, it turned out very nice.  Clint's come back to racing again after missing the 2010 season.  We're certainly glad to have him back out again.

The real boat:  The boat was originally built by Don Kelson in a big hurry.  It took them three weeks to put the Ed Karelsen designed boat together as a replacement Hallmark Homes boat.  The boat ran well as Vans PX driven by Lief Borgersen.  It became a Red Man in 1973 with Jim McCormick driving.  By the end of 1973 the hastily built boat began to fall apart and was quickly retired.
