The model:  This is the first boat Dale has built from scratch himself.  He admits he had a lot of help from master builder Mark Beatty and the boat turned out nice.  He debuted the boat at the 2008 season opener and won the first time out.  You can't do better than that.  Looks like a winner.

The real boat:  Owned by Bob Fendler, it raced in 1966 and ’67.  It originally raced in the 50’s and early 60’s as Miss Rocket and Coral Reef.  Having used the Rolls Royce engines from the Miss Thriftway inventory, the boat was always fast.  The boat was last known to be behind a building somewhere in Burien owned by Ken Muscatel.
