1969 "Outrigger" Pay N'Pak U-25 |
|
Boat Statistics
The Outrigger Pak performs very well whenever it hits the water. The boat has won several races and we hope to see more of it in the future. Bill has been racing boats for many years, having started way back in the day running 1/16th scale. About the real boat: The “Outrigger” was built by Les Staudacher with an attempt at the propeller driven water speed record in mind. The attempt was made, but the Pak came up short. The boat went on to compete in heat racing with driver Tommy Fults, but its design caused limitations in cornering ability and performance. It was soon abandoned and replaced by a more conventional Pay’n Pak hull.
