2. The True Sponson Depth Should be 1 inch
The true sponson depth is the measurement from the bottom of the end of the sponsons (inside the tunnel) to the bottom of the boat. Due to the break (where the bottom goes from flat to angled to meet the bow), sometimes a line needs to be extended on the inside of the tunnel to meet the trailing edge of the sponson. This is especially true for "pickle fork" boats with "canoes". |
